Versatile and practical shelter
The outdoor awning is a little-known alternative for terraces. Widely used by catering professionals, awnings offer many advantages for garden terraces in summer, whether to protect them from the sun or rain. An awning is a type of cover, usually made of PVC fabric similar to truck tarpaulin, which can be folded away.
Awnings are mainly used by professionals to cover café, bar or restaurant terraces, but they are also ideal for private terraces.
Terrace protection
This terrace cover is ideal for cafés, hotels and restaurants. It can reach 6 metres per module (3 metres with two modules) and 6 metres in projection. The Velum 6000 is operated by a gear box only. Like a very large awning that can be fixed or rolled up, the Velum is a large fabric surface, straight or sloping up to 70°, offering maximum protection from the weather and the sun.
Retractable awning
Unlike a fixed pergola or a pergola with slats, the awning can be easily folded away manually after use. The awning combines quality and aesthetics with a wide range of colours and waterproof or micro-perforated technical fabrics. Always made to measure, the outdoor awning is designed to be retractable.
A permanent, weatherproof structure
Attached to both the wall (facade or ceiling) and the ground, the outdoor awning can withstand all weather conditions. Several tubes support the fabric and the front bar is guided along the rafters and feet. The roller tube is made of galvanised steel.

This structure, which is usually seen on restaurant terraces, is a valuable addition to any large garden terrace, whatever the season. Once the fabric is rolled up, you can enjoy the sunshine. It is true that the sunlight on the terrace is streaked because of the horizontal tubes. For a completely tube-free solution, a majestic fabric pergola will do the trick.
The canopy offers a large area of protection, with a maximum projection of 6 metres and a width of 6 metres. If necessary, a third central leg can be added to extend the width to 8 metres (2×4).
