The Electra solar roof has been designed for the attachment of photovoltaic panels and is similar to a “building integration” installation and not an overlay. Our garden shed solar panel system is not designed to replace a house roof but to be integrated into the framework of a garden shed, wood or steel carport, summer kitchen or bicycle shelter. It can be used to optimise a pre-existing structure for self-consumption.
Solar panel garden shed up to 7m overhang
Our aluminium profiles and rafters are designed for a maximum overhang of 7 metres and a width of 11 metres. This gives you the assurance of one-piece aluminium profiles. Sturdiness and the absence of infiltration at any junction are guaranteed.
Patented “quarter-turn” fixing system
How are the solar panels in this kit fixed? The photovoltaic panels are fixed to the underside of the structure using a patented “quarter-turn” system. Our system allows simple, robust fixing of the framed panels to the structure. The structure itself is fixed to the existing framework using the fixing hooks supplied. The fixing holes must be on the long side of the panel.

Building-integrated photovoltaic panels have the major disadvantage of overheating, which reduces their yield. Our system, which is accessible from below, allows air to circulate, so the panels do not overheat. The yield in terms of electricity production with the Electra solar roof is much better.
